BEFORE YOU TRAVEL
(Terms, Conditions & Cancellations – Explore Manu)
Explore Manu requires that each adult traveler over the age of 18 years old who will be participating in one of our customized journeys

Before confirming any experience with Explore Manu, we ask you to take a moment to read the following.
Not as a formality, but as a way to be clear about how things work in a place like Manu.
This is not a controlled environment and conditions can change.
These details help align expectations on both sides.
Booking & Passenger details
To confirm a reservation, we require:
– Full passenger information (full name, passport number, date of birth)
– Any dietary restrictions or relevant personal requirements
Payments
A 20% deposit is required to confirm the reservation.
All prices are per person (USD), based on double occupancy.
The remaining balance must be completed at least 10 days before the experience.
Prices may change due to external factors beyond our control.
Changes & modifications
Changes to dates or experiences may be requested up to 20 days before departure, subject to availability.
For certain programs, changes require at least 1 month notice.
Cancellations & Refunds
Deposits are non-refundable.
Manu Biosphere Reserve operates under natural conditions that can change, weather, river levels, and access may affect routes or timing.
In most cases, experiences continue with adjustments rather than cancellations.
If conditions prevent the experience from operating safely, alternatives may be offered depending on availability.
Last-minute cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable. settings.
Seasonal considerations
During the rainy season (January to March), conditions are more demanding and less predictable.
Travel during this period is not recommended unless you are comfortable with this level of uncertainty. settings.
Holidays
A surcharge of USD 25 per person applies on national holidays:

What’s not included
Flights, airport taxes, personal expenses, and additional nights due to delays are not included.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover delays, cancellations, or unforeseen situations.
Nature of the experience
Wildlife is not guaranteed.
Wild animals rely on survival instincts, seasonal habits, and environmental shifts. Because no tour operator can command where animals travel, sightings of charismatic species often require pure luck and endless patience.
Routes and timing may change depending on conditions.
The experience follows the environment, not a fixed script.
By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge and accept these conditions.
This is not just a policy, it’s a shared understanding of how to experience a place like Manu Biosphere Reserve.
