Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 - Cusco – Cloud forest – Villa Salvacion Manu
At the scheduled time we will pick you up from the hotel, during the tour we will have a time to visit the chullpas of Ninamarka (pre-Inca funerary precincts) and then head to the picturesque colonial town of Paucartambo (which in the time of the Incas, was a strategic commercial point between the valley of Kosñipata or Antisuyo and the capital of Tahuantinsuyo, Cusco.). We will ascend to the Acjanaco pass (3,550 msnm.), which is the entrance to the Manu National Park.
On the way we will have some stops to discover some secrets of the cloud forest, the kingdom of giant ferns. We continue our journey we reach Villa Salvación, capital of the province of Manu, located in the Department of Madre de Dios.

Day 02 - Villa Salvación Manu – Shintuya Hot Springs
Now that you are in the jungle, you will get up early in the morning. Here, you will live in accordance with the natural world, waking up when the first sun rays show up and going to bed early, falling asleep to the soothing sound of the animals outside. Today, we will take the public bus to the community of Shintuya,
taking approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. The community of Shintuya is one of the largest in the Amarakaeri Communal Reserve.
We will have breakfast in the community before heading to the lodge for tonight.
Later we will immerse ourselves in the Harakbut culture through the HandyCraft workshop. Or just explore the trails system, we have the opportunitie visit a waterfall amidst the jungle, a secret place (Do not forget your swimsuit) exploring the rainforest and looking for different species of plants and animals that we can find on the way. We will return to the lodge for dinner before getting some rest. Optionally, you can choose to take a hot bath in the thermal pools.

Day 03 - Shintuya Community - Villa Salvación
Again, we will wake up very early to visit the Parrot Clay Lick close to the community. This is a very interesting morning ritual for parrots, where you
will see a great amount of them and learn more about this habit. Only after this visit, we will have breakfast back in the lodge, which will give us energy to then explore the different trails around the lodge.
In the afternoon, we will take public transport to return to Villa Salvación, where you will be taken to your accommodation to have some rest.

Day 04 - Villa Salvación – Cusco
The jungle changes drastically from
day to night. Therefore, today, by
daylight we will get to know one of the
local reforestation projects and have a
tour amidst the secondary forest,
surrounded by medicinal and
consumption plants. Here, you will be
able to plant your own tree as well and
actively participate in the reforestation
of the Amazonian jungle.
After breakfast, you will get to visit the
MachuWasi lake. The oxbow lakes in
the Amazon are assembly points for
many animals, especially birds. At this
lake, it will be very easy to observe the diversity of birds among other species in
the area. Finally, you will have to say goodbye to the jungle and its wildlife and take
your transportation back to Cusco.

For the jungle trip you will need the following equipment:

Note : During meals in the dining room you can wear casual clothing and shoes or sandals. We provide rubber boots for walk in the rainforest.
- Quick movements and loud noises are stressful to animals. Considerate travelers practice these safety methods:
- Learn about wildlife through quiet observation. Do not disturb wildlife or plants just for a “better look.” Observe wildlife from a distance so they are not scared or forced to flee.
- Considerate travelers observe wildlife from afar, give animals a wide berth.
- Avoid use of flash while taking snaps.
- Store food securely and keep garbage and food scraps away from animals so they will not acquire bad habits .Never feed wildlife. Help keep wildlife wild.
- Make sure the colors of clothing and gear blend with the environment.
