A program that offers us an excellent opportunity to enjoy and meet one of the regions of high diversity in the world, the Manu National Park located south-east of Perú, it extends from 300 m.a.s.l. at the confluence of the Manu River with the Alto Madre de Dios River, up to 3800 meters above sea level on the summit of the Apu Cañajuay mountain.
The Manu National Park is biodiverse, contains more than 20,000 types of plants, 1,200 of butterflies, 1,000 species of birds and 200 species of mammals which the Jaguar is undoubtedly the most mysterious. The Manu National Park is also the territory of various ancestral peoples, each with its own language, customs and traditions so unique that they have survived to our times.

Itinerary
Day 01: Cusco – Paucartambo – Shintuya Native Community
At the scheduled time we will pick you up from the hotel, and then head to the picturesque colonial town of Paucartambo (which in the time of the Incas, was a strategic commercial point between the valley of Kosñipata or Antisuyo and the capital of Tahuantinsuyo, Cusco.). We will ascend to the Acjanaco pass, which is the entrance to the Manu National Park. We continue the journey until we reach the port of Atalaya, where we change transport by a motorized boat that will take us through the waters of the Alto Madre de Dios river, until we reach the Harákmbut community of Shintuya. The Matsiguenka community is adjacent to the Manu National Park.
Later we will have the opportunity to explore the jungle, in search of fauna, surrounded by the most extravagant sounds that make this place mysterious.

Included Activities : Visit chullpas of Ninamarka, Thermal water pools.
Transportation : Private transport (Arrival time is between 5-6 pm).

Day 02: Shintuya Community – Limonal ranger station – Casa Matsiguenka
After a delicious breakfast, early in the morning we say good-bye to our new friends and sail towards the reserve zone of Manu, we will soon arrive to the Limonal Ranger Station, where we will have to register our entrance. We continue our travel and after approximately 5 hours traveling enjoying the fauna of the Manu Park, we will reach the Casa Matsiguenka Lodge, if time allows, before dinner we will go on a little tour to have our first contact with the virgin jungle of Manu Park.

Day 03: Casa Matsiguenka – Salvador Lake - Otorongo Lake
At the scheduled time we will visit the Salvador Lake , the Cochas or lakes are points of congregation of fauna in the Amazon, in this Cocha live a family of giant river otters (Pteronura brasiliensis), an endangered species.
Cocha Otorongo (it is one of the largest horseshoe lakes in Manu). In this place there is the observation tower of 20 meters high where we can enjoy the panoramic view of the lake. Then we will walk in the middle of the primary forest, where we will have the opportunity to observe a great variety of flora and fauna, the ‘woolly’ monkey lives in this sector (Lagothrix lagotricha).
Later, we will explore the forest paths where we will have a great possibility to see one of the thirteen kinds of monkeys, many birds and butterflies. Once the night has fallen, using our flashlights, we will explore the jungle in search of night creatures.
NOTE : The authorities of the Manu National Park establish the schedule of our visit to the Cochas depending on this schedule, we will visit the cochas earlier or later that day.

Day 04: Casa Matsiguenka – Lodge Manu Wildlife Center
Very early in the morning we embark to MWC. At that time, the opportunities to find wildlife along the river banks are excellent. We arrive at the Limonal Ranger Station, to sign in the registry before leaving the Manu National Park.
In the afternoon, we arrive at the lodge, where we accommodate in our comfortable rooms, the lodge has a trail system where we can find more wildlife.

Day 05: Manu Wildlife Center – Macaw Clay-lick – Trail System
Early in the morning we will visit the Blanquillo Macaw clay-lick, this Macaw clay-lick is one of the largest in the world , in this place you can see species such as: Scarlet Macaw, Blue Yellow Macaw, Blue-headed Parrot, among other species of Psittacidae, it has also been possible to observe some primates, savoring the minerals of the clay-lick.
We will enjoy this colorful show from a strategically located hideaway.
(Note : that La Colpa has more activity during the months of August to October and less activity in May and June).
We will be back for lunch and at the agreed time we will go out to explore the Jungle, with a great chance to find more fauna, we are going to visit the observation tower (34 meters / 112 feet high).
At night we can take a boat ride in search of Cayman and other nightlife by the river bank (this activity can be done only if the level of the river allows it).

Note : During meals in the dining room you can wear casual clothing and shoes or sandals. We provide rubber boots for walk in the rainforest.
- Quick movements and loud noises are stressful to animals. Considerate travelers practice these safety methods:
- Learn about wildlife through quiet observation. Do not disturb wildlife or plants just for a “better look.” Observe wildlife from a distance so they are not scared or forced to flee.
- Considerate travelers observe wildlife from afar, give animals a wide berth.
- Avoid use of flash while taking snaps.
- Store food securely and keep garbage and food scraps away from animals so they will not acquire bad habits .Never feed wildlife. Help keep wildlife wild.
- Make sure the colors of clothing and gear blend with the environment.
